Meet the Pediatric Dentists
Dr. Jenna Alvey
Dr. Jenna Alvey is a board-certified pediatric dentist and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She is originally from Bladenboro, North Carolina, making her a true Tar Heel, born and bred. Dr. Jenna originally moved to Chapel Hill to attend the University of North Carolina and to pursue her Bachelor of Science degree. She stayed and received her Doctor in Dental surgery, graduating with honors. After a brief stent in Seattle, Washington to work in public health dentistry, Dr. Jenna returned to her beloved Tar Heel State to receive her Master of Science degree and certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from UNC. Dr. Jenna is an active member of numerous professional organizations including:- The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry

Dr. Lauren Green
Dr. Lauren Green is a board-certified pediatric dentist. She grew up in Matthews, NC and attended UNC Chapel Hill for college. She is proud to be a Tar Heel! She graduated top of her class with a DMD from the Medical University of South Carolina School of Dentistry. She has been very involved in a variety of organizations promoting and advocating for oral health. She was selected as a Presidential Scholar, awarded the Psi Omega Fraternal Achievement Award, and inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. Following graduation from MUSC, she returned to UNC Chapel Hill for specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry. While in residency, she also attended UNC’s Gillings School of Public Health and received a Masters in Public Health in Health Policy & Management.Dr. Green’s husband, Peter, is also a dentist - he specializes in Oral & Maxillofacial Radiology. They have two miniature schnauzers - Winston and Rockefeller. In her spare time, Dr. Green likes to cycle, cook, read, sew, and travel!
Dr. Felicia Swinney
Dr. Felicia Swinney is a board-certified pediatric dentist from Augusta, GA. She received her undergraduate degree from Berea College in Kentucky. After college, she moved to Philadelphia and attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Upon completion of dental school, Dr. Felicia served as a dental officer in the US Army, completing the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency Program and providing care for Soldiers in the United States, Korea, and Iraq. After serving in the Army, Dr. Felicia moved to NC to complete her pediatric dental residency training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.Dr. Felicia, her husband, Charles, and daughter, Harper decided to make NC their home, eventually settling in Pittsboro, because of the wonderful community of friends they have built during their time here. Outside of work, Dr. Felicia volunteers with the Junior League of Durham and Orange Counties and enjoys all things local! She and Harper like to explore new parks and trails. Early mornings, you may see Dr. Felicia on a run with her running friends in Orange and Chatham counties.
Dr. Erin Tilton
Dr. Erin Tilton is a board-certified pediatric dentist from Warren, Ohio. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Richmond and attended Case Western Reserve School of Dental Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio for her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree. She moved to NC to attend the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill for her specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry and her Master’s of Science in Pediatric Dentistry.Dr. Erin met her husband, Bryan, at the University of Richmond. They have a two-year-old son, Brody, and a baby girl, Lainey! She loves traveling, cooking, learning new things, and spending time with her family. Dr. Erin and her family love exploring the RDU area and being outside (especially visiting nature trails and parks)!
Dr. Jordan Telin
Dr. Jordan Telin is a board-certified pediatric dentist and diplomate of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and completed his Bachelors of Science at Penn State University. He went on to pursue his childhood dream of becoming a dentist. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University at Buffalo in New York, and graduated with honors. While in dental school Dr. Jordan was an active member of the student community, serving as the national Vice President of the American Student Dental Association.He served on many councils and visited dental schools across the country, advocating for students and focused on promoting public outreach. He confirmed his passion for children’s wellness and went on to gain specialty training in pediatric dentistry at Boston Children’s Hospital with Harvard University. There he served as Chief Resident and focused his research on children with special healthcare needs.
Dr. Jordan loves traveling, cooking, running, and staying active outdoors. Most important to him is his family, spending time with friends, and of course his giant St. Berdoodle puppy, Tucker. He is very excited to bring his northern roots to the south and join the team!
Dr. Nate Shaw
Born and raised in North Carolina, Dr. Nate attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, graduating with distinction. He then went on to attend UNC School of Dentistry, where he was in the top five percent of his dental class and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with honors. He then attended the Medical University of South Carolina, serving as Chief Resident and receiving his Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry.Dr. Nate is a board-certified Pediatric Dentist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry, and the North Carolina Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Nate and his wife Kate have two rescue dogs, Kona and Sullie. He enjoys playing and watching sports and has been on dental mission trips to Ecuador, Kenya and around his home state of North Carolina.
Dr. Jorge Arriagada
Dr. Jorge Arriagada is a board-certified pediatric dentist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He is originally from San Pedro Sula, Honduras. He is bilingual in English and Spanish. He completed both his dental and pediatric training at East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Structural Biochemistry from North Carolina State University.It is Dr. Jorge's mission is to treat children with gentleness, compassion and respect while making dentistry fun so that they can grow to be healthy adults without fear of dentistry.
He has been an active participant on Give Kids a Smile Day and Missions of Mercy Dental clinics since 2009. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry, and the North Carolina Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
When he is not treating pediatric patients, Dr. Jorge and his wife, Cindy, a social worker, love playing board games, grilling, white water rafting, exploring the beaches and mountains with their three children, Ben, Jack and Lexie.
